Two news stories that really annoyed me today:

1. Some girl was the validictorian of her class. When she gave her speech, it mentioned Jesus Christ. You know what the school did? It withheld her diploma. No, I'm not joking. Because she expressed her beliefs! You know what the ironically good ending is though? She was on national television this morning, giving the same speech to America. So instead of just the whole school knowing her speech, America knows it now too. Hah!

2. So this minister in this neighborhood found out that there is going to be a mosque built in the neighborhood. Him and the members of his church protested it. They have the right to protest, but why would you? He said it was because Islam is a "dangerous religion." What?! Just becuase there are Islamic terrorists does not mean that all Islamic people are terrorist! Plus, the Qu'ran says that the only reason that an Islamist would attack is if they're attacked first. So unless you attacked them, they wouldn't attack you! Plus, Islamic people are people! They are no better, no worse, no diferent than anyone else!! This just makes me mad.

Discrimination is so evident on all sides of the spectrum. Whether it's a speech about Jesus or the rights to build a place of worship, people are trying to supress religious rights. It just makes me really mad.
